Skilled anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) provide comprehensive medical evaluation and clinical management of patients who need anesthesia or sedation for surgery, obstetrics, and some diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. Anesthesia provides relief of pain and is an important part of your operation or procedure.

Valerie D. Collins, M.D., received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. Dr. Collins completed an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, and a residency in anesthesiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She also completed a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis, located in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Collins is board certified in anesthesiology.
