Sports Screening Program
The Licking Memorial Health Systems Sports Screening Program will offer free pre-participation physical examinations, which the Ohio High School Athletic Association requires annually of all student-athletes, during the month of July. Licking County students entering grades 7 through 12 who participate in sports, marching band and C-TEC’s Criminal Justice, Fire and Physical Therapy programs are eligible to attend.

Screenings will be held at Licking Memorial Hospital Urgent Care locations in Newark, Granville and Pataskala. Advance registration is required, and appointments may be scheduled by calling (220) 564-7906.

In order to comply with proper social distancing measures, face masks are required, and we ask that parents/guardians wait in their car during the visit. If needed, we will allow one parent/guardian per student to be present during the examination. All registration forms must be completed prior to arrival.

Heart screenings, including electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, and the ImPACT baseline concussion test will not be offered this year. Please email for more information or with any questions you may have about the LMHS Sports Screening Program.
