Community Support
At Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS), we want to be your partner for a lifetime of good health.  Although our physicians and staff are experts at fighting disease, we would much rather see you healthy.  That is why we offer the community a variety of services.
  • Speakers' Bureau - To schedule a speaker, call the LMHS Public Relations Department at (220) 564-1572.  We offer a variety of experts covering healthcare topics.  For more information see the Speakers' Bureau Article under the Healthy Community section.
  • Screenings - The Hospital provides screenings for various diseases, promoting early detection.  We can provide you or your event a screening option.
  • Sponsorships/Sponsored Events - LMH participates and/or sponsors events that benefit the community.  For more information on our services or sponsorship contact the Licking Memorial Health Foundation, the charitable arm of LMHS.
  • LMHS Youth League Scholarship Program - LMHS provides registration fee scholarships to ensure area youth in need of financial assistance have the opportunity to participate in recreational team sports.
  • Community Education - LMHS offers a variety of educational classes and events to the community, see our Classes & Events calendar for more information.
  • Sports Screening Program - Each May, LMHS offers free sports screenings to Licking County’s youth in grades 7 through 12.  The program provides electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, and baseline concussion screenings in addition to pre-participation physical evaluations.
  • Licking Memorial Dental Clinic for Children - In partnership with the Licking County Foundation, LMH offers a dental clinic to serve uninsured, low-income children in Licking County.  The Clinic is set up in the dental practice of Keith A. Wing, Matthew P. Mack, Christopher R. Smith, D.D.S., and Robert L. Bang, D.D.S., located at 1420 Dickerson Street in Newark.
As a conscientious corporate citizen and Licking County’s community Hospital, LMHS strives daily to meet its mission, "to improve the health of the community."
