OCCUPATIONAL & ENVIRONMENTAL MEDICINE
Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) exists to improve the health of the community. LMHS has provided care for the community for over 120 years and has established a standard of excellence. Practitioners in the field of occupational medicine promote health in the workplace and community, and also prevent and manage occupational and environmental injury, illness, and functional loss. Occupational medicine can include matching job demands to work capacity, providing medical care, and minimizing work disability. Technical expertise enables appropriate management of physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks posed by specific tasks or workplaces. Environmental medicine focuses on health risks and consequences of exposures at the community or regional level. At Licking Memorial Occupational Health, we are dedicated to a culture of teamwork, open and clear communication, and engagement with employers and employees.
