Oncology is the study of the causes, development, characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of tumors. Hematology is a branch of medicine focused on the treatment of diseases of the blood and blood-forming tissues. Licking Memorial Health Systems, through a relationship with the Columbus Community Clinical Oncology Program (NCORP), offers a comprehensive cancer treatment program and long-term follow-up care for adults with cancer, unique for a community hospital.
Our Oncology service provides major forms of cancer care, including:

- Radiation therapy (as a referred service)
- Pulmonology
- Cardiology
- Cancer support group
- Caregiver support group
Cancer rehabilitation services:
- Lymphedema Clinic
- Occupational therapy/Physical therapy
- Wellness Center
In addition, we offer Oncology and Breast Patient Navigator Programs, which offer assistance to patients and their families or caregivers dealing with a cancer diagnosis. The programs are provided free of charge to those who need assistance.
Hematology/Oncology Department at Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer (CoC) since 2000. In 2022, the CoC granted a three-year approval indicating that LMH demonstrates compliance with all mandatory standards for organizational and operational elements.
