Gastroenterology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract and liver diseases. Acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, colon polyps, hepatitis and cirrhosis are all examples of illnesses treated. Our practice provides office consultations, hospital care and diagnostic procedures including colonoscopy for the early detection and prevention of colon cancer.

received his medical degree from St. George’s University College of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Alyssa D. Drosdak, M.D.,
received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals. She also completed a gastroenterology fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine.
Estaban Grovas Cordovi, M.D.,
received his medical degree from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. He completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Grovas Cordovi is board certified in internal medicine.
Zeyn T. Mirza, M.D.,
received his medical degree from Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Mirza is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Kari M. Vance, APRN-CNP,
earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Ohio University in Athens and a Master of Science in nursing degree from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
