Licking Memorial Hospital Receives Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer
Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) recently received a Three Year Certificate of Accreditation with Silver-Level Commendation from the Commission on Cancer. The Commission on Cancer is a consortium of professional organizations dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for cancer patients through standard-setting, which promotes cancer prevention, research, education, and monitoring of comprehensive quality care. The Commission conducted a survey of LMH’s cancer program to evaluate the scope, organization and activity of the program and to ensure patient-centered standards are being met. LMH complies with all the standards set by the Commission and received commendation ratings for six out of the seven standards.
Through a relationship with the Columbus Community Clinical Oncology Program (NCORP), LMH offers a comprehensive cancer treatment program and long-term, follow-up care for adults with cancer, unique for a community hospital.
