Licking Memorial Heart Center Welcomes Physician and Nurse Practitioner 

Licking Memorial Heart Center Welcomes Physician and Nurse Practitioner  Licking Memorial Health Systems is pleased to announce the addition of Debra A. Heldman, M.D., and Patricia S. Merrick, APRN-CNP, to Licking Memorial Heart Center.  The office is located inside Licking Memorial Hospital at 1320 West Main Street in Newark.

Dr. Heldman earned her Medical Degree from The Ohio State University, completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and a cardiology fellowship at University of California, Irvine.  She is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Patricia earned her associate degree in nursing from Central Ohio Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Franklin University, and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from The Ohio State University.  She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  

The Heart Center provides a wide range of hospital and office-based services to include atrial fibrillation and heart failure management, cardiac device therapy, diagnostic testing and treatment, left/right heart catheterizations and percutaneous intervention (PCI) procedures.  PCI uses long flexible tubes, called catheters, to get inside blood vessels to diagnose and repair damaged vessels and heart tissue.  Appointments can be made by calling (220) 564-7750.
