Licking Memorial Hospital will host a Cancer Survivors Picnic in recognition of National Cancer Survivors Day.  The event celebrates and acknowledges all cancer survivors who face their disease with courage, determination, and a positive attitude, as well as friends and family who supported them during their battle.
 
The event will take place on Thursday, June 1, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on the grounds of the Licking Memorial Medical Campus, located at 1717 West Main Street in Newark.  The program will begin at 4:30 p.m., and an aerial photo of all survivors will be taken at approximately 5:15 p.m.
 
All cancer survivors are invited to attend this free event, regardless of where they received treatment.  Family members may also attend.  To register, please call (220) 564-4102 by Thursday, May 25.  In case of inclement weather, the Picnic will be moved to Thursday, June 8.
