Community Education: Vertigo: Disorders of the Inner Ear and Balance

Cheryl Barker, Au.D., CCC-A, of Clear Choice Audiology, will host a discussion on disorders of the inner ear and balance on Tuesday, August 6, at 6:00 p.m., in the LMH First Floor Conference Rooms.

Vertigo is a spinning feeling and dizziness, which can range from fleeting faintness to a severe balance disorder that makes normal functioning impossible.  Roughly 35 percent of adults aged 40 years or older in the United States – approximately 69 million Americans – have experienced some form of vestibular dysfunction.

A focused presentation regarding the impact of vertigo on health will be followed by a question and answer period specific to participant concerns and next steps for those struggling with vertigo.

The program is free; however, registration is required.  To register, please call (220) 564-1560.
