Dining with Diabetes is a three-part cooking school program for individuals with diabetes and their families that offers healthy alternatives to food preparation. 

Dining with Diabetes is a three-part cooking school program for individuals with diabetes and their families that offers healthy alternatives to food preparation.  The classes will be held on April 3, 12, 19 and 26, from 5:30 - 7:30p.m., in the Licking Memorial Hospital First Floor Conference Rooms, and will feature healthy meal demonstrations, taste-testing, and discussions about carbohydrates, fats and vitamins.  In addition, a three-course meal will be served at each session.   

Dining with Diabetes is presented by Licking Memorial Health Systems in partnership with The Ohio State University Extension Office and the Licking County Senior Levy.  Registered Dietitian Annmarie Thacker, M.S., R.D., L.D., C.D.E., and Shari L. Gallup, M.S., will instruct the class.  

Advance registration is required to attend the three-part program.  Please call (740) 670-5315 to register.  The cost, which is due at the time of registration, is $10 for senior citizens (age 60 and over) and $20 for all other participants.  Space is limited – please register by Friday, March 30.
