Substance Abuse Prevention Event Postponed Published: 8/29/2022

The community event, Prevention Starts with All: The Chris Herren Story, has been postponed by the speaker due to COVID protocols.  Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) had planned to host the event Tuesday, August 30, at 5:30 p.m., in the Granville High School Auditorium.  LMHS is now working to reschedule the presentation.

Chris is a former professional basketball player who struggled with substance use for many years and shares his story from addiction to sobriety with a goal of making a positive difference in the lives of others.  In this very personal presentation, Chris addresses the issue of substance use and addiction, and how we can work together as a community to advocate for effective treatment and embrace the power of recovery.

LMHS will announce the new date as soon as possible.  For questions and updates, contact the LMH Development Office at (220) 564-4102.
