LMH Home Care Named to Top 500
Licking Memorial Hospital (LMH) Home Care has been named to the Top 500 of the 2014 HomeCare EliteTM, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the U.S. The HomeCare Elite awards are sponsored by OCS HomeCare by National Research Corporation and Decision Health®. The sponsors examined performance data from nearly 10,000 home care agencies to determine the award winners.
LMH Home Care’s goal is to enable individuals in Licking County to remain or return home while receiving the highest level of skilled professional care after an illness, surgery or injury. Services are available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Highly skilled LMH staff members assist with decision-making processes and represent a wide variety of disciplines to meet the patients’ needs. Depending upon the individual patient’s needs, the following Home Care staff members may provide services:
- Registered nurses
- Licensed practical nurses
- Home health aides
- Physical therapists
- Occupational therapists
- Speech therapist
- Medical social worker
- Support staff
The LMH Home Care staff develops a customized plan for each patient’s care, providing a wide range of services in the patients’ home. LMH Home Care’s available services include:
- IV therapy & nutrition
- Wound management
- Medication instruction
- Pain management
- Therapeutic home exercise programs
- Home management to improve activities of daily living
- Assistance with social, emotional and financial needs
- Assistance with speech and swallowing problems
- Personal care
- Private duty home health aides
The HomeCare Elite award is in its ninth year, and LMH Home Care has received the recognition six times. This is the second year that LMH Home Care was recognized in the prestigious Top 500 ranking.
Licking Memorial Hospital has served the medical needs of Licking County residents since it was founded in 1898. The 227-bed facility employs approximately 1,800 staff members to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
