Community Education: Managing Your Cholesterol

High cholesterol is a common condition, affecting more than 42 million Americans. Cholesterol is a waxy substance produced by the body and certain food sources. Some cholesterol is needed for healthy cell development, but high levels increase the risk for heart and circulatory disease. Treatment strategies based on diet, exercise, and in some cases, medication, are the keys to controlling cholesterol levels and preserving health.

Join dietitian Aundrea Parker, R.D., L.D., on Thursday, November 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the LMH first floor conference rooms at Licking Memorial Hospital to learn effective strategies for managing cholesterol levels through diet. The program is free; however, registration is required. To register, please call (220) 564-2527.
