Licking Memorial Hospital will host a Cancer Survivors Picnic to honor community members for their fight against cancer.  The event celebrates and acknowledges all cancer survivors who face their disease with courage, determination and a positive attitude, as well as friends and family who supported them during their battle.
 
The event will take place on Tuesday, August 17, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., on the grounds of the Licking Memorial Medical Campus, located at 1717 West Main Street in Newark.  The program will begin at 4:30 p.m., and an aerial photo of all survivors will be taken at approximately 5:15 p.m.
 
All cancer survivors are invited to attend this free event, regardless of where they received treatment.  Family members also may attend.  In an effort to protect all attendees, guests are encouraged to have a COVID vaccine prior to the event.  Additionally, all LMHS staff at the event will be fully vaccinated.  Please call (220) 564-4102 by Tuesday, August 10, to register.  In case of inclement weather, the Picnic will be moved to Monday, August 23.
